Long Island tech guru Mark Fasciano and Michael Puntillo Jr., a principal of the Great Neck-based development company Jobco Inc., have been tasked by newly elected Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano to head up an advisory committee on what the business community wants and needs to flourish. Fasciano and Puntillo are to put together the committee.

"This is going to be a group of CEOs and principals of companies that will meet with [Mangano] on a regular basis to give him candid feedback on the issues of companies here," said Fasciano, now chief executive of Karma411, a new tech company in Mineola.

"My angle here is going to be building technology companies," Fasciano said. He noted one problem on Long Island is that word does not get out about the quality tech companies already on the Island. "We do have our winners," Fasciano said. "I think we need to better advertise that fact."
