Cops look for whoever damaged
religious statue, Nativity scene
Nassau police want the public's help in finding whoever damaged two religious tableaux set up outside the Knights of Columbus in Bellmore, the most recent attack happening this past weekend.
A statue of St. Mary at 2333 Bellmore Ave. was broken in half in the first incident, which occurred sometime between 5 p.m. July 16 and 5 p.m. July 18, police said.
Then about 2 p.m. Saturday, someone broke the plastic glass covering a Nativity scene set up at Bedford Avenue and Broadway, police said.

Pair charged with armed
robbery of bank in Baldwin
Two Hempstead men face robbery charges after they held up a Baldwin bank at gunpoint Monday, police said.
First Precinct officers responding to a call for a bank robbery at the Bank of America, 2300 Grand Ave., arrested the two suspects in Freeport shortly after the 2:42 p.m. robbery, Nassau police said.
The suspects -- Isaiah Hunter, 20, of 148 Princeton St., and Essix Robinson, 21, of 244 Brown St. -- entered the bank and announced a robbery, police said.
Hunter, armed with a handgun, ordered two employees and eight customers to the ground while Robinson jumped a counter and removed an undetermined amount of cash from several drawers, police said.
They drove away in a light-colored, four-door vehicle driven by a third suspect, who is still being sought.
The cash and a handgun were recovered, police said.
One woman in the bank at the time of the robbery was taken to a hospital with minor knee pain, police said.
Hunter and Robinson are charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm. Police said Robinson has two open warrants.

3 clerks ticketed for selling alcohol to minors in county police sting
Three clerks were ticketed in sales of alcoholic beverages to minors in an underage drinking initiative, Nassau County police said Tuesday.
The Second Precinct on Monday, with the assistance of an underage agent, conducted a sting targeting businesses in sales of tobacco and alcohol to minors.
Given appearance tickets on charges of prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage and unlawful dealing with a child were:
Sukhjeet Singh, 26, of 8953 240th St., Bellerose, a clerk at the Valero Gas Station at 545 Conklin St., Farmingdale.
Wei Guo, 31, of 8808 Woodhaven Blvd., Woodhaven, a clerk at Newbridge Beer and Soda, 8 W. Village Green, Hicksville.
David Jun, 52, of 50 Westwood Dr., Westbury, a clerk at Together Wine Outlet at 14 Jericho Tpke., Jericho.
Singh and Guo are scheduled to appear Jan. 13 at First District Court in Hempstead; Jun is scheduled to appear Jan. 17.
