LI nonprofits to meet in Melville

Nonprofit leaders from across Long Island are invited to the Nonprofit Update, a free informational meeting June 15 hosted by Bohemia-based accounting firm Cerini and Associates.

The update will cover topics of interest to the nonprofit community, such as legal and accounting updates, as well as new state rules that allow nonprofits to better manage endowments that are underwater.

The meeting will begin with breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Melville Marriott Long Island, 1350 Old Walt Whitman Rd. It will run until 1 p.m.
