TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT

LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY. A crash that had closed two eastbound lanes from Exit 29 to Exit 30 has been cleared.

LIRR.  The 4:48 p.m. train from Ronkonkoma due at Penn Station at 6:08 p.m. is operating 11 minutes late due to a late train ahead.

The 5:10 p.m. train from Babylon to Speonk has been canceled due to an equipment problem. Customers should instead take the 5:29 p.m. train from Babylon due in Montauk at 7:34 p.m. and arriving in Speonk at 6:23 p.m.

The 4:11 p.m. train from Ronkonkoma due at Penn Station at 5:38 p.m. is operating 13 minutes late due to a late train ahead.

There will be an extra train Thursday — a 4:55 p.m. from Huntington due at Penn Station at 6:04 p.m. — to accommodate customers traveling to the Billy Joel concert.
