TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT
NORTHERN STATE PARKWAY. A multivehicle crash is blocking the left eastbound lane at Exit 32 (Post Avenue) in Westbury.
LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY. An accident is blocking the westbound shoulder between Exit 48 (Road Swamp Road) and Exit 46 (Sunnyside Boulevard).
LIRR. There are delays on the Montauk and Babylon branches, so give yourself extra time.
ROAD WORK
LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY. Two westbound lanes from Exit 71 to Exit 70 and one eastbound lane from Exit 51 to Exit 52 will be closed for road work from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The right eastbound from Exit 65 to Exit 68 will also be shut down for road work.
SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY. Road work will close one lane from Exit 13 to Exit 23 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and one westbound lane from Exit 25 to Exit 24 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
WEATHER
Tuesday will be overcast with a 30 percent chance of rain during the day and a high of 72 degrees. The sun will peak in and out throughout the day. The low Tuesday night should be around 61 degrees with a 60 percent chance of rain and possible thunderstorms after midnight.
