TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT
WEST ISLIP: If you're looking to take the scenic route along the South Shore, please note that the left lane is closed on the Robert Moses Causeway approaching Ocean Parkway.
LIE: It's slow through most of Nassau County. The Northern State has stop-and-go traffic through pockets of Nassau County as well. Volume will build as the commute goes on.
SOUTHERN STATE: It's slow from West Babylon through Freeport and again approaching the Queens County line.

WEATHER
It's going to be cold early in the week and rainy later on. Here is a look at the five-day forecast:
MONDAY: After a raw, chilly Sunday, it will be a bit more comfortable today, with sunny skies and a high of about 57.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and 62 degrees. It's playing out to be a perfect fall day on Long Island.
WEDNESDAY: Clouds roll in, but the high temperature holds at 64 degrees. Enjoy the day, because if the five-day forecast holds up, it's about to get worse.
THURSDAY and FRIDAY: We warned you. The temperature is expected to be in the upper 50s, and there is a 70 percent chance of rain both days.
