Let's take a look at what's going on in the skies and on the roads Wednesday morning:
TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT
PORT JEFFERSON STATION: There is long-term road construction on Route 347 in both directions between Williams Street and Route 112.
WEATHER
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain in the morning, then clear and breezy with a high of 73.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear with a low of 46.
Wednesday morning, there was a red lunar eclipse that began at 4:17 a.m. The eclipse reached its maximum phase at 6:55, and is now moving out of visible view below the horizon. The eclipse will move out of its final phase at about 9:32 a.m.
A partial solar eclipse will be visible in New York on Oct. 23.
