Susan Ganz has been named president of the Financial Women's Association based in Manhattan. The Plainview resident is a strategic adviser for the Center for Wealth Preservation in Syosset.
The Health and Welfare Council of Long Island announced three new members of its board of directors. David Bishop is a partner at the Manhattan law firm of Kirby McInerney and lives in West Babylon. Robert Stricoff of Oak Beach is chief executive of the Babylon Industrial Development Agency. Paul Tonna of Huntington is executive director of The Energeia Partnership at Molloy College in Farmingdale and chief executive of Professional Evaluation Medical Group in Hicksville.

Gregory Ferdinand has joined Ameriprise Financial in Melville as a senior financial adviser. The West Babylon resident was vice president of investments at Oppenheimer and
Co. in Melville.

Rita E. Roberts has been promoted to assistant vice president of perioperative surgical services at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. She was administrative director of the hospital's ambulatory surgery unit and the ambulatory surgery center in Garden City. Roberts lives in Franklin Square.
Dr. Leighton Brooks has joined the staff of Child & Family Psychology in Franklin Square as a child psychiatrist. Before joining the practice, the Manhattan resident founded Comprehensive Health Associates in Lauderhill, Fla.
