Dr. Kenneth J. Steier has been named clinical dean at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Manhattan. The Melville resident is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. Alan E. Weiner has been selected chairman of the IRS Garden City Tax Practitioner Liaison Committee. The Plainview resident is the founding tax partner and now partner emeritus at the Melville-based accounting firm Holtz Rubenstein Reminick. The committee consists of Internal Revenue Service officials and tax practitioners and provides an informal dialogue between the government and tax return preparer community.

Joseph N. Campolo has been elected to the board of directors of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County. He is managing partner at the Bohemia-based law firm Campolo, Middleton & McCormick and lives in Stony Brook.
