Lawrence Herman, of Huntington, has been elected president of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a professional organization based in Alexandria, Va. Herman is an associate professor and director of physician assistant admissions at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury.
Russell M. Artzt has been named to the board of directors of myVRM, a Hicksville-based provider of scheduling software. He is co-founder and vice chairman of CA Technologies in Islandia and lives in Old Westbury.
DENTAL
Thoma Agro has been named Suffolk County territory manager at Adin Implants, a dental implant company in Cedarhurst. He was most recently a sales agent at New York Life in Jericho and lives in Valley Stream.

Grassi & Co., a financial services firm in Jericho, announced two new employees.

CBIZ MHM Llc in Manhattan announced two employee promotions.
Esther DuVal of Great Neck and Charles Berk of Old Bethpage have been promoted to co-practice leaders, corporate recovery services group and managing directors. Both were previously managing directors. CBIZ MHM is an accounting services provider.

Jerry Genova has been appointed executive vice president of network management and field operations at Cablevision Systems Corp. in Bethpage. The Center Moriches resident previously served as an independent consultant for Cablevision and a number of other companies.
