ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
Engineered Energy Solutions, a Port Jefferson-based alternative energy solutions provider, has named Frank D. Morgigno and Patrick D. McClave as managing partners. Morgigno, of East Setauket, is also president of Applied Technologies of New York, based in Hauppauge. McClave, of Stony Brook, is also a principal at McClave Engineering in Port Jefferson.

 

ARCHITECTURE
H2M, a multidiscipline architecture firm, has promoted Elizabeth C. Uzzo of Dix Hills from director of human resources to vice president of human resources and Charles V. Pittman of Mount Sinai from technical business development director to vice president of sales and business development.

 

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Claire Cascio has joined the board of directors of the NephCure Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for two kidney diseases, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and nephrotic syndrome. The Northport resident is a registered nurse at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Dr. Jeannine Villella has been named to the board of directors of Carol's Cause Inc., a Mineola-based nonprofit that raises funds for gynecologic cancer research. Villella is an attending physician in gynecologic oncology at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola and lives in Manhattan.

 

Joshua Y. Horton has been appointed president of the Hamptons and North Fork Realtors Association. The Greenport resident is senior managing director at The Corcoran Group in the Westhampton, Shelter Island and North Fork areas.

 

ENTERTAINMENT
Jimmy Newson has been appointed manager and director for Studioe, a multipurpose studio in Ronkonkoma. The Freeport resident will continue as chief executive of Powerhouse Entertainment.

 

HEALTH CARE
Dr. Artem Vaynman and Dr. Philip Fontanetta have been named co-chiefs of spine surgery and the physician leaders of Mercy Medical Center's new spine endeavor program. Vaynman, a Great Neck resident, has been on the medical staff since 2007 and is part of Neurological Surgery Pc. Fontanetta, a Manhasset resident, joined the staff in 1981 and is in practice at Western Nassau Orthopaedic Associates.

 

LIBRARIES
Sophia Serlis-McPhillips has been promoted to assistant director at the Middle Country Public Library in Centereach. The Stony Brook resident was head of adult services and the Miller Resource Business Center.

 

TECHNOLOGY
Peter Giacalone has been named chairman of UniTek Global Services, a multidiscipline engineering firm headquartered in Blue Bell, Pa. The former president of UniTek Global Services will remain a Fort Salonga resident.

 

VINEYARDS
Molly Deegan has joined Cutchogue-based Bedell Cellars as vice president of marketing and private client relations. She was executive events marketing director at AOL and has homes in both Sea Cliff and Mattituck.
