Library brings coffeehouse to book sale

Friends of the Merrick Library is having a book sale with a little extra style.

On June 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the nonprofit will bring a coffeehouse theme to the library (2369 Merrick Ave). Patrons will be able to relax with a cup of joe and some snacks while they listen to jazz music and poetry readings and browse for their favorite titles.

Library aide Debbie Jones said they’ll be selling a little bit of everything, from nonfiction to children’s books.

Friends of the Merrick Library holds an ongoing book sale at the Library Wing every Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Open until 8 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month).
