LIE closings today from Exit 68 to 69

The eastbound or westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway will be closed from Exit 68 at the William Floyd Parkway to Exit 69 at Wading River Road today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the state transportation department announced.
The department said in a news release that the off-peak closures in Brookhaven Town are needed to perform a routine inspection of the Weeks Avenue bridge over the LIE, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this time.
