Work to repair deteriorated pavement will close the New Hyde Park Road exit ramp on the westbound Long Island Expressway on Friday, the state Department of Transportation said.

The closure in North Hills is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the agency said.

Drivers also will by notified by overhead and electronic road signs and should plan alternate routes to avoid delays.

The closure is weather dependent and may be canceled, postponed or prolonged, the agency said.
