A new building is coming to Lindenhurst — as soon as Suffolk County issues the building permit, village clerk Shawn Cullinane said Thursday.

The $193,975, one-room structure slated for Village Square Park will have office space for police and code enforcement officers and public restrooms for village events.

Cullinane said work could finish by year’s end if the permit is issued soon “We’ve done everything we need to do,” he said. “We just need somebody at the county to sign off on it.”

Locascio Enterprises of Bay Shore has the contract, which was announced at Tuesday night’s board of trustees meeting.
