The Village of Lindenhurst is increasing its fees for applications to the planning and zoning boards.
The planning board application fee will rise from $100 to $500. Zoning board application fees will increase as follows: from $200 to $500 for commercial, business, industrial or multiple dwellings; from $150 to $250 for single-family dwellings; and from $60 to $100 for other types of applications. The changes take effect in December.
The village had not increased its fees in many years, said Village Administrator Clerk-Treasurer Shawn Cullinane, and raised them now to be on par with other local villages and Babylon Town. Babylon Village’s zoning fees range from $100 to $250, and its planning board fees range from $50 to $400.
In Amityville Village, zoning applications range from $75 to $1,500 and planning board application fees range from $200 to $2,000.
Babylon Town has zoning fees that range from $125 to $2,000 and planning fees that range from $25 to $100.
