The Village of Lindenhurst is receiving $100,000 in state funds for road improvement projects.
State Sens. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) and Phil Boyle (R-Bay Shore) secured the money, which will be used for two infrastructure projects. According to village officials, one project will involve repaving North Wellwood Avenue between Kane and Newark streets. Officials said this is the final phase of a larger initiative to improve North Wellwood from Newark Street to Hoffman Avenue.
A second project involves repaving North Indiana Avenue between East John and Byrd streets. In both projects, officials said, storm drainage improvements also will be made.
