The Lindenhurst Board of Education Wednesday night is holding a workshop on the future of the Edward W. Bower Elementary school.

Bower was shut down in 2011 as a cost savings for the district. Amid declining enrollment, the school was the district’s smallest in one of its oldest buildings. Since then, the building has been intermittently rented out to various groups, including a production company and a church.

The workshop will take place at 7 p.m. in the McKenna Administration Building.
