Lindenhurst ups fee on removal of home oil tank
The Village of Lindenhurst is raising fees on residential oil tank removal.
The fee will increase from $35 per tank to $75 per tank. The village board approved the increase at last week’s board meeting.
Village Clerk-Treasurer Shawn Cullinane said the reason for the increase is that removal of oil tanks is a time-consuming process which requires multiple inspections by village plumbing inspector John Hosey.
The new fees took effect March 1.
