The Lindenhurst Board of Education is holding a workshop Wednesday night on the future of the Edward W. Bower Elementary School.
Bower was shut down in 2011 to save costs for the district. With the district facing declining enrollment, the school was the Lindenhurst's smallest, and one of its oldest buildings. Since then, the building has been intermittently rented out to various groups, including a production company and a church.
The workshop will take place at 7 p.m. in the McKenna Administration Building.
