Smoke in one of Amtrak's East River tunnels is impacting service on all Long Island Rail Road branches, with delays of 10 to 15 minutes into and out of Penn Station and some cancellations.

The LIRR said trains on the Port Washington, Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson and other lines have already been canceled.

The New York City Fire Department is part of an emergency crew that is currently inspecting the tunnel, according to the LIRR.

Commuters should check the LIRR's website for the status of their train.
