LIRR: On or close during evening rush after signal trouble

The Long Island Rail Road was on or close to schedule systemwide during the Thursday evening rush hour after signal problems outside the East River tunnels.

Earlier in the afternoon, the railroad had been experiencing delays between 10 to 15 minutes out of Penn Station and 30-minute delays on stops east of the Jamaica station because of the signal problems, the LIRR said.
