Legis. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) is hosting a forum Monday night with Long Island Rail Road representatives regarding the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Seaford and Wantagh train stations.
Two representatives from the LIRR are expected to attend the forum to discuss the stations, LIRR service and the LIRR’s responses to past requests, and to answer questions from commuters. The event will be at 8 p.m. at the Wantagh Public Library (3285 Park Ave.).
Denenberg said he frequently provides such forums to address issues raised by commuters in his district.
He represents Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick and parts of Freeport, North Merrick and Wantagh.
Some issues raised at past forums include problems with escalators, needed station repairs and railroad parking permits, a Denenberg representative said.
