Predictably, some Long Island Rail Road trains experienced delays during the morning commute after the railroad resumed limited service under difficult post-blizzard challenges.

The LIRR reported on its website that the 7:26 a.m. train from Port Washington to Penn Station was operating 15-20 minutes late following the resumption of services, which began on six LIRR branches about 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The 7:07 a.m. train from Ronkonkoma to Penn Station was operating 15-20 minutes late. And the 8:07 a.m. train from Port Jefferson to Huntington was running 15-20 minutes late, the LIRR reported.

Limited service was also restored on the Babylon, Oyster Bay, and Montauk branches.
