The Long Island Rail Road’s Ronkonkoma branch is now operating on or close to schedule after delays averaging 15 minutes late Tuesday morning that followed an earlier service suspension, the LIRR said.

The suspension, in both directions between Farmingdale and Ronkonkoma, resulted “from an unauthorized tractor trailer on the tracks east of Deer Park Station,” the LIRR said at 11:17 a.m. on its website.

Railroad staff were dispatched, with an eye to determining if there’s any third rail damage, the site said.
