Signal trouble in Mineola created scattered, residual westbound delays averaging 15 minutes during the Thursday morning commute, the Long Island Rail Road said.

The westbound delays ran from about 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., the LIRR said.

At least five trains were delayed because of the signal issue, and another made an added stop to accommodate commuters, the LIRR said.

The commuter service said shortly after 8 a.m. that it was operating “on or close to schedule resolving after the signal issue.
