I attended the public meeting in a large tent at the Long Island Rail Road Brentwood station parking lot ["Parking lots go solar," News, Dec. 3]. State and local dignitaries were there breaking ground for the "solar panel farm" that will cover the now-exposed parking spaces with a roof that will contain solar panels to produce electricity. Great idea, with the lots at Deer Park and Lake Ronkonkoma to follow. Too bad that the panels will be made in China.
