Legis. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) is hosting a forum Tuesday with Long Island Rail Road representatives regarding the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Seaford and Wantagh train stations.

Representatives from the LIRR are expected to attend the forum to discuss the stations, LIRR service and the LIRR’s responses to past requests, and to answer questions from commuters.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the North Bellmore Library, 1551 Newbridge Rd.

Although the LIRR is a state authority, Denenberg said he provides these forums to address issues raised by commuters in his district. Denenberg represents Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick and parts of Freeport, North Merrick and Wantagh.

Some past issues raised include problems with escalators, needed stations repairs and railroad parking permits, a Denenberg representative said.
