Commuters on the Long Island Rail Road’s West Hempstead line can now find out whether their train is running on time before they even leave their house.
The LIRR has expanded its Train Time web application to include the West Hempstead line. The service, which provides real-time train information to customers, was previously available only for Port Washington riders.
Train Time allows users to find out whether a specific train is running late and, if so, by how many minutes. It also displays scheduled arrival time and track assignments.
The service is available at mta.info/lirr/TrainTime.
