A Honduran concert Wednesday by electro-rap duo LMFAO was cut short by a fire one local official said might have been the result of arson.

The Tegucigalpa newspaper La Tribuna reported Thursday that about 7,000 people were evacuated after a blaze broke out on the ground floor of the basketball arena Coliseo Nacional de Ingenieros (National Coliseum of Engineers), just east of the Honduran capital city. Fire Commissioner Ángel Aguilar Cruz Troches told the paper "a criminal hand" appeared to have set fire to the facility's electrical system.

But HondurasNews.com attributed the blaze solely to overheated electrical lines that sent a funnel of smoke from the basement, sounding an alarm. The site said 10 units of firefighters as well as the Red Cross, police and a dozen ambulances mobilized at the scene.

No fatalities were reported. First responder Maynor Rodríguez told HondurasNews, "Twelve people were given attention for anxiety and nerves and another group of about 10 for smoke inhalation."

LMFAO singer Redfoo -- born Stefan Kendal Gordy, son of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy -- tweeted afterward, "Epic concert tonight!!!! Everybody in Honduras, we set the place on fire!!!!" About 25 minutes later he added, "They told us that there was a fire when we were on stage. Then we went to the dressing rooms and there was smoke in the halls. On a serious note. Hope everybody is safe from the fire tonight! love you Honduras!"

A rep for LMFAO's music label did not respond to MTV News' request for comment.
