Locust Valley’s Bairre Reilly commits to Maryland
Earlier this week, Locust Valley junior Bairre Reilly gave a verbal commitment to play lacrosse at the University of Maryland.
Reilly, a skilled attack, helped lead the Falcons to the Nassau Class C final last spring and had three goals and two assists in the game. She was one of Long Island’s leading scorers and earned Newsday All-Long Island honors. Reilly, who also plays field hockey, is currently among Nassau’s scoring leaders in that sport.
The Terrapins 2012 roster features three freshmen from Long Island: Farmingdale’s Kelly McPartland, Erin Collins of West Islip, and St. Anthony’s grad Shanna Brady (Smithtown).
Manhasset senior Halle Majorana said Friday she recently made her recruiting visit to Maryland and has officially committed.
