Long Beach combining art and Halloween
Arts in the Plaza invites Long Beach residents to celebrate “Halloween in the Plaza” this Sunday and enjoy a full day of family friendly activities, arts and music.
The event, sponsored by Artists in Partnership, Inc., will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza, 1 W. Chester St., in front of Long Beach City Hall.
Featured will be more than 35 vendors offering handcrafted gift items, paintings, jewelry, and photography. There will also be face painting, temporary tattoos, card making, craft booths, story telling, poetry reading, a costume contest and treats for the children at a variety of booths.
Live music begins with local artist Andrew Boynton at noon, followed by the sounds and mixes of Benoir and Principle Flow. Attendees are asked to bring their drums and join the drum circle the 2011 season is brought to a close.
