Long Beach council member pleads not guilty to grand larceny
A Long Beach City Council member charged with grand larceny entered a not guilty plea today.
Michael Fagen was arraigned for illegally collecting unemployment even though he was earning nearly $20,000 as a council member. If convicted, Fagen faces up to seven years in prison.
Fagen is due back in court in April.
