ROSLYN SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCKOUT

An hour-long lockout was lifted at Roslyn Public Schools following a police investigation of a robbery at a nearby grocery store, school district spokesman  Barry Edelson said. The district’s five schools were kept from dismissal until they were given the all-clear from police at around 1:50 p.m.

"The schools will be dismissing as close to regular as possible," Edelson said.

Mets players Lucas Duda, Daniel Murphy and Dillon Gee are at the Henry Viscardi School in Albertson, where they are spending time with students and playing wheelchair basketball with them.

MOSQUE THEFT

Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man they say damaged a donation box and stole money from a mosque in Huntington on Aug. 27.

Police said the man entered Masjid Noor, at 1032 Park Ave., at about 11 a.m., pried open a donation box with a hammer and stole money from the box. He then fled on foot.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Monday will be overcast in the morning, then clear with a high of 72 degrees and winds up to 10 miles per hour. Monday night will be overcast with a 60 percent chance of rain and a low of 61 degrees.

NEW SPEED CAMERAS. Speed cameras will begin operating Monday in five new school districts, bringing Nassau County's total to 23 fixed and mobile camera locations as it continues its rollout of the controversial new program. The new fixed cameras are in Levittown, Jericho, Greenvale and West Hempstead. Mobile cameras will also be placed in North Merrick, Plainedge and Oceanside. More details here: nwsdy.li/1tVblhZ

HOFSTRA GRAD WINS CROWN. Miss New York Kira Kazantsev, a graduate of the Honors College at Hofstra University in Hempstead, was named the new Miss America Sunday night.

MULTIMILLION-DOLLAR HOME ON FIRE. Volunteers from five East End fire departments responded to the scene of a structure fire Monday morning at a multimillion-dollar home in Sagaponack, fire officials said. The Suffolk County police arson squad is investigating.

COMING UP

LIRR HEARING. The MTA Long Island Rail Road will hold a public hearing Monday at 5 p.m. at Malverne Village Hall (99 Church St.) on a plan to restore weekend service on the West Hempstead branch year-round. Currently, no West Hempstead branch trains operat on weekends or holidays.

HISTORIC PROPERTIES. The Town of Huntington will hold a public hearing Tuesday to consider streamlining the approval process for altering properties that are historic or are in historic districts.
