It's sunny and warm this afternoon. Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night.

A high rip current risk is in effect for Long Island ocean beaches through Tuesday night, the National Weather Service said.

ARRAIGNMENT FOR COP ACCUSED IN BEATING.

FINANCING HEARING. The Long Beach City Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1 W. Chester St., to hold a public hearing on authorizing $8.2 million in bonds.
