FIRE: Levittown firefighters responded to a fire on 9 Balsam Lane in Levittown Tuesday.

PROPERTY TRANSFER. The Town of Islip held a public hearing today on three items, including the transfer of properties under the town Community Development Agency’s Rent With the Option to Buy program and Direct Sale Affordable Housing program. PROPOSED 7-ELEVEN. The South Merrick Community Civic Association will meet today at 7 p.m. in the Merrick Park Golf Course Clubhouse. WEATHER

While it's warm today, it will be considerably cooler tomorrow. An expected 20-degree drop Tuesday into Wednesday will mean tomorrow's high won't climb out of the 60s. The cold front could also create showers or thunderstorms tonight.
