The Long Island Philharmonic will perform in Nassau County’s Holiday Spectacular concert on Dec. 1, County Executive Edward Mangano announced yesterday.

The two-hour concert, a benefit for Island Harvest, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Butler Building at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex in Garden City.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at Bethpage Federal Credit Union branches and at the Administration Building at Eisenhower Park.

Everyone attending the concert is asked to bring nonperishable food items to be collected by Island Harvest and distributed to people affected by superstorm Sandy.
