The Long Island Rail Road will resume train service to Belmont Park today with the beginning of the summer race season.

The first LIRR “Belmont Special” will leave Penn Station at 10:58 a.m., making stops at Woodside and Jamaica and arriving at the track at 11:33 a.m. A second train is scheduled to leave Penn at 11:41 a.m., making the same stops and arriving at Belmont at 12:33 p.m.
A round-trip ticket costs $14 and includes a $1 discount off the regular $3 grandstand admission.

Returning trains depart Belmont Park at 3:42 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Since 2011, the New York Racing Association has subsidized Belmont LIRR service, which the railroad suspended in 2010 because of budget constraints.
