North Shore Farms plans to officially open its fifth location on Long Island Thursday.

Community leaders are expected to gather at the new store in Commack at 40 Vanderbilt Pkwy. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will include remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a reception in the new store, according to a statement about the official opening.

The new store will open for business Friday morning and will include giveaways, door prizes, a DJ and cooking demonstrations.

North Shore Farms' other stores are in Port Washington, Glen Cove, Great Neck and Mineola.
