Long Island Top 10 rankings
1. St. Anthony's (6-1): The Friars played one game and defeated Our Lady of Mercy, 41-17. Jennifer Sixsmith scored 10 points. The Friars have won six consecutive games and will play in the Braggin Right Classic in Cincinnati from Tuesday through Thursday.
2. St. John the Baptist (6-1): The Cougars defeated St. Mary’s, 56-33. Illinois-bound Alexis Smith had 18 points, six assists, and five steals and Kamala Thompson scored 13 points. The Cougars play in the Disney Tournament this week.
3. Northport (3-0): Northport defeated Half Hollow Hills East to open league play, 62-25. Chrystal Pope had 15 points and five assists. Northport will play Deer Park and Kings Park in its own tournament this week.
4. Long Island Lutheran (5-1): The Crusaders defeated defending Long Island Class B champion Center Moriches, 54-37. Yuni Sher had 20 points and nine rebounds.
5. Sachem East (2-1): The Flaming Arrows opened league play with a 59-18 win over Patchogue-Medford. Meagan Doherty had 14 points and five steals. Then they beat Kellenberg, 41-36. Doherty scored 14.
6. Sacred Heart (5-2): Sacred Heart defeated St. Dominic, 70-42. Nina Corcoran and Taylor Higgins each scored 17 points.
7. Baldwin (5-0): Baldwin went 3-0 last week. Kiera Corbin scored 19 points in a 62-29 win over East Meadow. The Bruins beat Westbury 61-18 in the semifinals of the Baldwin Tournament and beat Copiague 64-45 in the finals. Katie Greene had 16 points and six rebounds.
8. North Babylon (4-0): North Babylon defeated Copiague, 68-52. Senior Mary Chisholm scored a career-high 23 points and Charise Wilson had 17 points, eight assists, and five steals.
9. Deer Park (5-0): Deer Park picked up two close wins defeating Comsewogue 48-45 and then holding off Wyandanch in overtime, 64-63. Nicole Gomez scored the winning layup with 11 seconds left. It was the 100th career win for coach Mike Gennaro.
10. Division (6-0): Division had the week off and has yet to be challenged. The smallest margin of victory has been 11 points.

Performances that stood out last week
Mary Chisholm (North Babylon): The senior scored a career-high 23 points in a 68-52 win over Copiague.
Colleen Ames (Lindenhurst): She hit a 15-footer as time expired in the second overtime to give Lindenhurst a 56-55 win over Floyd. Ames added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Ciara McCullagh (New Hyde Park): She scored with 44 seconds left to cap the scoring in a 52-51 win over Garden City. McCullagh had 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Danielle Doherty (Massapequa): She hit a three-pointer to tie the score with 12 seconds left to force overtime and then in the overtime scored nine of her 22 points in a 64-55 win over Uniondale.
Woodlynn Daniel (Oceanside): She had 21 points and 13 rebounds in a 62-37 win over Hempstead.
Farrah Desvarieux (Lawrence): She had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in an 82-59 win over Clarke.
Chelsea Williams (Copiague): She scored 69 points in three games.
