GREAT NECK

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT: The Great Neck Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to consider a site plan for a proposed market-rate development at the site of rent-stabilized housing. The meeting will be held at Village Hall, 61 Baker Hill Rd. Follow Jennifer Barrios’ Twitter updates @barrioscq.

AMITYVILLE

BRENTWOOD
SCHOOL BUDGET: The Brentwood Union Free School District will hold a budget workshop at 7 p.m. next Wednesday at North Middle School, 350 Wicks Rd. Parents and residents in the district are asked to provide input for the 2014-15 school year budget. Follow Sarah Armaghan’s Twitter updates @ArmaghanS.

Water main break alert

In Lindenhurst, water is shutdown due to emergency repair work on Pacific Street, south of Shore Road. The repair will affect 43 residences.
