There are times in a season when a team needs two weeks to recover from a game, and there are others when a team wants to play as soon as possible.

Thursday night's game between the Bills and Dolphins falls into the latter category. I imagine we'll see two fired-up teams, both coming off close losses in Week 10.

The Bills have won three straight and four of their last five meetings vs. Miami, including a 29-10 Week 2 win in Buffalo.

This is a key AFC East matchup where the winner remains within reach of the first-place Patriots (7-2), who have a tough Sunday night game in Indianapolis.

The Bills are 9-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last 14 AFC East contests. Conversely, Miami is 5-8-1 ATS vs. divisional foes.

Buffalo is 3-1 ATS as an underdog, while Miami is 8-5 ATS in its last 13 as a favorite, as well as 7-2 ATS in its last nine November games at home. The Bills are 2-5 ATS in their last seven November road games.

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is 1-4 against the Bills in his career, and has never thrown for more than 241 yards vs. Buffalo. Still, I like Tannehill and the Dolphins to rebound at home in a big way after a crushing last-minute loss against the Lions last week.

The pick: Dolphins
