Commuters who rearranged their schedule Wednesday morning around a planned film shoot at Eisenhower Park did so for naught. The shoot, which was supposed to close Park Boulevard between Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Avenue between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., has been canceled. The road was open at 10 a.m., despite the fact that electronic signs at both park entrances were still noting closures as of noon.

A representative of the Nassau County Police Department -- which issued the closure notice -- noted the buzz going on about the filming and said filmmakers were concerned about keeping the scene’s details confidential.

According to the initial release the scene would involve several stunt cars and two helicopters.
