Regarding "Red-light cameras are no deterrent" [Letters, Feb. 8], the writer states that he has never seen someone run a red light. He must live in some other place than the rest of us.

I see people run the lights every day, as well as rolling through stop signs without even a glance. There is a stop sign in Eastport that might as well not even be there. Every morning around 6, you can watch at least 15 cars run the sign, without ever even touching their brakes.

We need many more camera lights, and we need to make running red lights a crime.
