$1 million top prize in scratch-off game to Deer Park man, state lottery says

A Long Island man has a summer to remember, thanks to a winning scratch-off lottery ticket.
Gus Anastasiadis, of Deer Park, won a $1 million top prize on Wednesday from the Millionaire Maker scratch-off game, according to the New York Lottery.
Anastasiadis received a single lump-sum payment of $651,006 after required withholdings, according to the lottery website.
The winning ticket was purchased at Trakia Sunoco service station on Deer Park Avenue in Dix Hills.
The New York Lottery said there were five $1 million prizes remaining on the Millionaire Maker ticket at the time of this announcement.
Anastasiadis joins the ranks of other lotto winners on Long Island, such as an Aquebogue woman who collected a $1 million prize for matching the first five numbers drawn in a March Powerball game.
In April, a Central Islip woman won $1 million for a Holiday Cash scratch-off game she purchased at an Islip Terrace 7-Eleven store.
Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
