Mega Millions jackpot tops $300 million for Tuesday drawing
The Halloween drawing of the Mega Millions numbers was mostly trick on Friday night, as the lottery announced no winner of the estimated $284 million jackpot.
Because no one matched all six numbers (11, 29, 36, 58 and 67, plus the Mega Ball of 15) on Halloween night, an estimated $321 million ($194 million cash option) will be up for grabs in the Nov. 4 drawing, according to the lottery.
It will be only the 10th time in Mega Millions' 12-year history that the jackpot will surpass $300 million, according to the lottery. The jackpot has been growing since it was last won in California at $180 million on Aug. 22, the lottery said.
Tuesday's estimated $321 million jackpot would rank eighth on the list of the top 10 Mega Millions jackpots.
