The Mega Millions jackpot rose to a cash prize of $265 million, its sixth-largest jackpot, ahead of Tuesday's drawing, lottery officials said.

If a winner preferred an annuity, the total would be $470 million. No one matched all six numbers in Friday's drawing. The next drawing was Tuesday night at 11 and the winning numbers were 20, 22, 39, 54, 60, the megaball is 18 and the megaplier is 3.

Powerball also is heating up ahead of its drawing at 10:59 p.m. Wednesday. In cash, its prize works out to $161 million; its annuity has hit $282 million, a lottery spokesman said.

On July 24, 11 co-workers in California shared the third-largest prize of $543 million in Mega Millions history, officials said in a statement.

That was this year's fourth jackpot. Previous 2018 winners were: $451 million in Florida on Jan. 5, $533 million in New Jersey on March 30, and $142 million in Ohio on May 4.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever, a $656 million payout, was split among three winners in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland in 2012.
