Having money problems?
Well there’s an easy way to try to improve your financial situation — and quickly.
Go for a win at Powerball’s new huge $510 million jackpot in the next drawing on Saturday night.
The odds of winning, however, are pretty high — 1 in 292 million. But someone has to win at some point, right?
The big prize climbed by a steep $80 million after there was no winner in Wednesday night’s drawing when a $430 million jackpot was at stake — and the $510 million ranks among the top five Powerball jackpots.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 9, 15, 43, 60 and 64. The Powerball was 4 and the Power Play was 3x.
No one has won the top prize in what the New York Lottery calls “America’s Game,” since June 10, when the winning $447 million jackpot ticket was purchased in Menifee, California.
Powerball winners are selected by drawing five white balls ranging from 1 to 69 out of a drum, then selecting one of 26 red Powerballs from another drum. If you get all five numbers plus the Powerball, you win the jackpot prize.
Tickets for the Powerball game cost $2 each, and live Powerball drawings are aired on select lottery draw stations on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m.
