With no tickets matching all six numbers for Wednesday's Powerball, the jackpot in the multistate lottery game jumped to more than $300 million, game officials said.

Two tickets nationwide -- including one sold in New York City -- matched the five numbers 8-18-24-30-39 but missed the Powerball number, 26, according to the state's lottery site, nylottery.ny.gov., and powerball.com. The holder of each of those tickets wins $1 million.

And it means Saturday's jackpot is worth $325 million, or a lump-sum payment of $212.8 million, powerball.com said.

It marks the fifth-highest jackpot in the history of the Powerball game; the game's highest jackpot was $365 million won in February 2006.

Each is well short of the nation's record jackpot of $656 million in the Mega Millions game, awarded March 30 and split three ways among winners in Maryland, Illinois and Kansas.
