A winning $1 million ticket for Monday’s Powerball drawing was sold in Valley Stream, the New York Lottery announced in a news release.

The ticket, one of two second-prize winning tickets for Monday’s drawing, was sold at 100 W. Merrick Rd. in Valley Stream, owned by Gurcharan and Brothers, according to the lottery. The other ticket was sold in Manhattan.

Monday’s winning Powerball match 5 numbers, drawn between 1 and 69 on live television three nights a week, were 3, 18, 36, 41 and 54. The two New York winners missed out on the red Powerball number, drawn from one to 26. Monday’s Powerball number was 7.

The odds of claiming the $1 million match 5 prize are 1 in 11,688,053.52, pretty good compared to the 1 in 292,201,338 odds of correctly playing all six numbers.

With the Powerball jackpot still unclaimed, the estimated value swelled to $1.7 billion as of Tuesday evening.
